As much as I love being able to contribute in my little way to the baby lost mama (BLM) community, there is one aspect of writing the names that I don't like. After I have written the names and taken a photo, I have to wash the names away. Those colorful letters just smearing and running down the path... the names were too easily erased, just as these precious little lives. I see that rainbow water running down the path and into the street and it makes me sad and stop and think of each and everyone of our angels. I did notice something beautiful though. When the water first hits the chalk, their names become brighter and more vibrant and just gorgeous. I'd like to think our babies were like these letters... and like the stars in the heavens. Just before a star burns out I picture it getting even more beautiful than it was before, giving the world it's best shinning light for last. And as the water from the hose washes away the last of the letters, it also creates a rainbow in the air to remind me that there is hope. Sending my thoughts and love to you hurting parents.

Beautiful and touching post! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and letting us glimpse through your words what you see when you wash away these names. I love how you said they become brighter!

that was a great analogy Tiffany!!!
That is a wonderful thought. I guess I never really thought about having to wash the names away after. Beautiful analogy like Ann said.
